Prayer before surgery:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before you with a humble and contrite heart, seeking your divine intervention and protection as we prepare for surgery. We know that you are the great physician, and we put our trust in you to guide the hands of the surgeons and medical professionals who will be caring for us.
We ask for your mercy and grace to be with us during this time of uncertainty and anxiety. We know that you are a God of comfort and peace, and we pray that your presence will surround us and calm our hearts.
As we face the unknown, we remember your words of comfort and hope, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). We know that you are the salvation by grace teacher, and we thank you for the gift of eternal life that you have given us through your sacrifice on the cross.
We pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical professionals who will be caring for us. We ask that you guide their hands and give them the skill and knowledge they need to perform the surgery successfully.
We pray for a quick and complete recovery, knowing that all things are possible through you. We pray that we will be able to return to our daily lives soon and be able to serve you and others with renewed strength and vigor.
In all things, we give you thanks and praise for your love and faithfulness. We trust in your unfailing love and ask for your continued presence in our lives.
In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

The Bible speaks to PERFECT LOVE and it says in 1 John 4:8 that “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” So, perfect love is the love that comes from God and is demonstrated through His actions toward us.
The Bible also teaches that perfect love casts out fear. In 1 John 4:18, it says “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” This means that when we experience the perfect love of God, we do not have to fear punishment or rejection, because His love is unconditional and never-ending.
As believers in salvation only by grace, we understand that we cannot earn or deserve God’s love or salvation. It is a free gift that comes from His grace and mercy. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This means that even when we were separated from God by our sin, He loved us enough to send His Son to die for us, so that we could be reconciled to Him.
In summary, perfect love is the love that comes from God, is demonstrated through His actions toward us, and is available to us through His grace and mercy. As believers in salvation only by grace, we understand that this love is not something we can earn or deserve, but rather it is a free gift that comes from God’s unconditional love for us.
